win 8 deliver a new range of windows software branded Windows Store apps. As the name depicts, these applications are delivered by Microsoft windows store. Microsoft states that the apps have been optimized for touchscreen devices primarily but they can still run on desktop devices also.

More tablets by different major vendors like samsung are putting more weapon to the microsoft arsenal. This should be a real advantage compared to apple software application which are soley for its own hardware devices. However this is not the case with android which is pledging a more open approach and this has been its main reason for its success up to now.
